Blog One: "How I learned to Write"

At first, my account of how I learned to write involves my kindergarten teacher, my parents, and many wasted sheets of paper marked with adolescent hieroglyphics that gradually morphed into sloppy cursive. However, I'm skeptical as to if it is correct to say that this process actually taught me how to write. I guess it comes down to my definition of writing in terms of this blog.

I named my blog snapshots because any piece of writing is like a snapshot of a person’s reality captured through the lens of their personality. So I guess, using a pretty lame metaphor, a keyboard is my camera and what you’re reading is the snapshot I produce with it. With this in mind, I think learning how to write involved figuring out how to record what I thought on my own terms and in my own words.
